Houston Police and Community Relations Forum

We organized the Houston Police and Community Relations Forum at Antioch Baptist Church downtown. The purpose of the forum was to strengthen the ties between law enforcement and citizens. Events like this are the first step in the right direction towards building the necessary relationship between the community and law enforcement. We believe communicating with our law enforcement leaders upfront will bring transparency and hold them accountable for what we expect.

We want to thank Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, District Attorney Kim Ogg, Executive Assistant Chief Troy Finner, Councilmember Amanda Edwards, Community Leader Deric Muhammad, Police Oversight Board Member Stelena Evans, and Founder of the Greater Houston Coalition for Justice Johnny Mata for serving on the panel. Also, thank you to Channel 13 ABC Eyewitness News Broadcaster Tracy Clemons for moderating.
